🔄 Refund Policy
To ensure fairness for all participants, please review our refund policy carefully:
- Full refunds will be granted for cancellations made at least 24 hours prior to the league’s start date (July 15).
- Cancellations received less than 24 hours before the league begins, as well as any missed games or no-shows, are not eligible for a refund.
- After the commencement of the season, all fees are considered non-refundable.
We appreciate your understanding and encourage timely communication should any issues arise. Please contact us if you have any questions regarding this policy.
🎮 Gameplay & Rules
We follow AVP rules for all league play. You’ll play two games each night, with each match being a best-of-3, rally-scoring format. The first two sets go to 21 points, and the third (if needed) is to 15, with all sets requiring a two-point win.
Every team must have at least one girl on the court at all times. Games are self-officiated, and your referee responsibilities will be rotated and posted on VolleyballLife.
For our B Division, we won’t be calling rules as strictly, aiming for a more relaxed and fun environment.
Late Arrival Policy: Teams must be ready to play at their scheduled time. A short grace period may be allowed, but excessive delays may result in a forfeit.
Above all, we ask every player to show great sportsmanship and keep things fun and respectful throughout the season!
🤝 Sub Policy
Our substitute policy is designed to ensure fair play while giving teams the flexibility to manage their rosters. Please read carefully to understand the rules for both regular season and playoffs.
Regular Season Substitutes
- Finding Subs: Teams are fully responsible for finding their own substitutes. We encourage teams to try and find subs who are around their team’s general skill level to keep games balanced and fun for everyone.
- Eligibility:
- All subs must have a valid Bronze AVP Membership.
- All subs must sign a liability waiver before stepping onto the court for their first game.
- Payment/Registration: Subs are not required to be registered on the official team roster or paid for by the team during the regular season.
- Forfeit Avoidance: Using a legal sub ensures your team avoids a forfeit.
Playoff Substitutes
Playoff eligibility is stricter to ensure fair competition at the championship level.
- Rostered Players Only: Only players officially registered and paid for on the team’s season roster are eligible to compete in the playoffs.
- Sub Eligibility for Playoffs: If a team needs to bring in a sub for the playoffs who was not on the original roster, that player must have already played as a sub for that specific team in at least two (2) regular season league nights. This helps ensure playoff teams consist of players who have consistently participated with that team throughout the season.
- No New Subs in Playoffs: Players who have not subbed for the team during the regular season, or who have not met the minimum play requirement, are not eligible to sub in playoffs.
🏆 Playoffs
All teams will make the playoffs during the final week (week of August 18).
Format will be single-elimination, with final details based on total number of teams.
Teams that no-show during regular play may be disqualified from playoffs or future leagues.
⛈️ Weather & Cancellations
We’ll notify you via email and GroupMe at least an hour before start time if weather affects play. We’re good to play through light rain, but we’ll pause or cancel for any unsafe conditions.
Make-Up Games:
- Playoffs won’t be made up if the single make-up night has already been used.
- Only one make-up night is scheduled for the entire league.
- If more than one night is canceled, only one will be rescheduled for the affected groups.
