Welcome to Port City Volleyball, the premier beach volleyball club for juniors in Mobile, AL, located at Spring Hill College. We are the region’s only beach-exclusive volleyball club. Indoor or beach-focused? Our belief is that beach volleyball enhances your overall skills. We’re here to help you excel, regardless of your preference. Port City Volleyball welcomes boys and girls between the ages of 10 and 18 who are passionate about volleyball, offering inclusive programs designed for all skill levels.
Age Groups: 12U, 14U, 16U, 18U
Port City Volleyball Club distinguishes itself through its exclusive focus on beach volleyball and experienced coaching staff. With comprehensive programs catering to all skill levels, the club fosters a supportive community atmosphere for players to thrive. Committed to holistic player development, Port City Volleyball Club prioritizes excellence in beach volleyball skills alongside qualities like teamwork and sportsmanship.
Our two head coaches, who also serve as owners, boast extensive backgrounds in the sport, excelling both as players and coaches. With full authority, they meticulously select assistant coaches to ensure our team maintains the highest standards of instruction and consistency.
At Port City Volleyball, safety is paramount for both our participants and staff. We strictly adhere to safety guidelines and protocols set forth by local authorities and sporting bodies. Additionally, our coaches undergo mandatory training, including IMPACT, USAV SafeSport Training and must pass background checks.

Club Season 2025- FAQs
Registration for 2025 Season Coming Soon!
The following list breaks down the age divisions. It shows the birthdate cutoff for each division, helping players know which group they belong to:
- U18: Born on or after July 1, 2006
- U16: Born on or after July 1, 2008
- U14: Born on or after July 1, 2010
- U12: Born on or after July 1, 2012
We provide all the necessary equipment to facilitate practices and tournaments. However, we do recommend that players bring water, towels, and sunglasses for their convenience.
We are pleased to announce that we will be hosting tournaments this season. Each tournament, occurring every Friday, requires a $50 entry fee per team. providing the players an opportunity for to demonstrate their abilities and engage in competitive play. Please visit the events page to view and register for any upcoming tournaments.
We carefully assess each player’s performance during evaluations to place them in suitable training sessions. This personalized approach ensures that every player receives tailored attention and support, optimizing their development and enjoyment within the program.
No partner? No problem! Don’t let the absence of a playing partner discourage you from joining us this beach club season. Whether you come solo, with friends, or looking to team up with someone new, we’ve got you covered. Our inclusive environment welcomes all players, and we’re here to ensure everyone has a chance to enjoy the game and make new connections.
We ask that parents attend a mandatory meeting on evaluation day to discuss program expectations, schedules, and any other pertinent information.
In the event of inclement weather or other unforeseen circumstances leading to the cancellation of practices or events, we prioritize the safety and well-being of our participants and staff. Notifications regarding cancellations will be promptly communicated via email, text message, and social media platforms to ensure everyone stays informed. Additionally, we will make every effort to reschedule canceled practices or events to minimize disruptions to our programming.

Training group assignments will be communicated via email once evaluations are finalized. If you have any uncertainties regarding your assigned group, feel free to contact us directly for clarification.
We understand that sometimes plans change, so we offer the following refund structure:
- Full Refund: Players are eligible for a full refund if they withdraw before the end of the first week of training.
- 50% Refund: Players who withdraw after the first week but before the halfway point of the season are eligible for a 50% refund.
- No Refunds: After the halfway point of the season, no refunds will be issued.
We also consider extenuating circumstances on a case-by-case basis. If you have any questions or concerns about your situation, feel free to contact us directly.
